Hey Everyone!!!

I know it's been awhile; boy have I been busy. In the last blog I wrote I was about to head back to Aussie land for a well needed break. I have since returned to the tour, and have played two events in Korea and Japan. My trip back home to Australia was awesome. I spent some quality time with my little sister, and her new fiancee in their hometown of Newcastle. Newcastle is on the coast about 2 hours north of Sydney. We planned, and executed a great engagement party. Mum and Dad flew down from Queensland for a nice surprise; it was cool seeing them again since our trip in July. They have admitted to catching the travel bug, and are planning there next trip back to the states.

When I got home I decided to take two weeks off from golf, and after two weeks off I still felt like I needed another week off. All in all I didn't pick up a golf club for a month; it was fan-bloody-tastic!!! When I did eventually peel open my golf bag I couldn't wait. I spent a week in Queensland on the Sunshine Coast with my mental coach working on my PSR (pre-shot routine). It was a quality week spent talking about my game, this year's results, and planning for next year. By the time I boarded the plane for Korea I felt rejuvenated, and really pumped to play some golf.

I think my results the last two weeks have been good. I have been practicing some mental drills on the golf course in competition, and have seen some great results. The weather in Korea was reminiscent of Melbourne weather in winter. The weekly forecast deviated from warm to cold, cold and windy, to raining and cold, and then to just plain cold. Needless to say my rain gear got a nice work out.

Japan looked and played the same; for the last 3 years the greens have been super fast and hard.  In the second round of play I had the honor on my 8th hole (a Par 3).  I stand on the tee box with my caddy Ben discussing the shot. Ben's yapping away about distances, and all I can hear is snoring!! You know; that long snore with 5 seconds between snores. I look up into the crowd, and I cant see the culprit anywhere, but I can still hear him. By this point I turn to my playing partners and say, "Can you guys hear that?" They are looking at me as if I'm nuts. Then I see him. This Japanese bloke had settled himself down nicely in his seat 15 yards from the tee box, his head down in a deep sleep, snoring his head off!!! I just couldn't hit so I yell out, "Hey mate, wakey, wakey?" Then the crowd caught on, but this guy still wouldn't wake up. Eventually some little lady shook him, and he woke up (completely startled of course). My playing partners and I got the giggles, and the crowd was laughing as well. I think it took me a good 5 minutes to re-group and hit my tee shot.

Now after a 35 hours of travel from Japan through LAX to Mexico I am finally in Guadalajara.  This is Lorena Ochoa's hometown, and home course. It's such a well organized event, and the Mexican fans love it!! They are autograph mad. Wish me luck this week!!!!

Cheers, Linds
