G'Day Everyone!!!!

The last few tournaments have not been my best; I haven't been 100% mentally, and it has showed in my results. The good news is that I'm going back home to Australia for a few weeks. It's very important to take time off especially when you are not 100%. This concept should also be exercised when you are playing well.

It's hard to communicate the mental and emotional energy used during a tournament week. After I finished 4th at Nabisco early this year I was so exhausted it took me 3 days to feel normal again. If you don't take time away from the game when you feel like this the fatigue can carry over into the following week. The symptoms of not being well rested show in your golf game, in your relationships off course, and in your general well being. For instance; last week at Samsung I hit the ball well. Like any week you will still have your "ups and downs", and last week was no different. I made so many silly mistakes on the course; I bogeyed short Par 5's and then allowed these simple mistakes to carry over, and it certainly showed in my attitude on course. Instead of brushing this off and moving on I can honestly say I let my mistakes get the better of me. It's easy to say "well that's golf", but I play this game for a living, and the one thing I can control on the golf course is my attitude.

So with that said I'm going back to Australia for a break. I need to spend time with my family, and I'm also going to catch up with some old friends and spend quality time with my brothers and sister; I can't wait!!!!

My next event is the Hana Bank-Kolon event in Seoul, Korea followed by the Mizuno Classic in Japan. After those 2 events I fly a bloody long way to Gaudulajara, Mexico to play in Lorena Ochoa's Invitational. Last but not least I finish in Houston at the Tour Championship to complete the 2009 season.

FYI: Don't forget Grey's Anatomy starts back this week!!!! Very happy :)

Cheers, Linds
